Social Media is an important marketing tool, that can syndicate announcements, comments etc. Viral Marketing on the other hand focuses on building a following through a games, ebooks, promotions etc. Some debate the legitimacy of branding of software, games and movies, as the technique is being used more and more as subliminal.
